Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and learn about us as a family. We cannot say we understand what you must be going through, but do know we share your same belief in wanting the best for your baby. Your courage and strength is admirable and we are so grateful for this opportunity. Our names are Chad and Deanna and we have been married for 16 years. As a couple, we have always wanted to have a family and have several children. Family is more important to us than anything. We feel that at the end of the day it is your soft place to fall. Since our son, Nate, who is now 9 years old, we have struggled with infertility. We have suffered many losses including the loss of a baby girl at twenty weeks gestation. This journey has been long and painful, but has taught us so much along the way. We genuinely believe that each child is a blessing and that life is truly a precious thing. We are determined to give your baby the best life possible and we have so much love to give.
Chad and I met in college and have been together ever since. Chad is a firefighter and truly loves what he does. He finds great satisfaction in helping others. Every day is different which he finds very exciting and stimulating. He is incredibly handy and has completed many amazing projects at our house. He enjoys being outdoors and finds pleasure in activities such as hiking or dirt bike riding. He is a hands on dad who always looks forward to spending time as a family. Deanna has a master’s degree in education and taught for seven years as an elementary school teacher before becoming a stay at home mom. She truly loves children and is a very calm and nurturing person. She is very energetic and positive and has remained strong through all of our challenges. She also enjoys being outdoors, water-skiing and going to the beach. She volunteers at school and in the classroom. As a stay at home mom, I would have to say that the most important part of my job is molding a smart, kind, independent, and strong person. I absolutely love being home and feel so lucky to be able to experience each milestone. I am always able to be there, for whatever it may be.
We live in Southern California in the same city we both grew up in as kids. The city and neighborhood we live in is very safe and we have amazing schools. Our schools integrate new technology and different styles of learning. We live in a diverse community where different cultures are respected. We live in a two story, four bedroom home, in a suburban neighborhood with a park located at the bottom of our street. We have an adorable nursery that Chad and I designed ourselves. We have a nice front and backyard with lots of space to play. We have a pet dog named Snicker and a fish named Olaf.
Our Extended Family
All of our family, on both sides, live within 15-20 minutes of our house. As a result of this, we spend a lot of time with extended family. We all get along very well and there is always family to help in any situation. We have three nieces and two nephews. All of the grandparents are very supportive and eager to see their grandchildren grow up. We can honestly say that we truly enjoy all of our family. Our parents are very supportive and would do anything for us. They listen and encourage us in any decisions that we make. We can count on them for whatever it may be. I(Deanna) would have to say that my sisters are my best friends. I trust them and can talk with them about anything. We have so much fun together and love living so close to one another.
Our Family Traditions
As kids we both grew up going camping, Chad in the desert and Deanna at the lake. We enjoyed telling stories and roasting marshmallows. We loved being outdoors and spending time with family. We also both loved Christmas and to this day our biggest family tradition is Christmas. We all enjoy listening to Christmas music, decorating the house, and going to look at Christmas lights. Every year we go to Deanna’s parents house Christmas morning. We spend the day watching Christmas movies, doing crafts, and playing games.
What Led Us To Adoption
Chad and I have always wanted to have several kids. We believe strongly in family and that family comes first. We love being parents and look forward to each special event and milestone in a child’s life. After our son, who is now 9, was born, we struggled with infertility for many years. We have suffered many losses and heartache along the way. Despite this, we still want more children because we feel our family is not complete.
