Dear Birthmother,

After 6 years of trying to have our own family, several miscarriages, a failed Russian adoption of two precious boys, and many tears spilled, we decided to look into domestic adoption.

In June of 2013, we were blessed with the birth of our 1st adopted son. He changed our hearts and our world instantly. With his adoption completed, we knew we wanted to adopt again in the future. He needed a sibling to love, play with, and of course rough and tumble with. In September of 2015, six months after having a 3rd adoption of a little girl fall through, we were blessed with the birth/adoption of our 2nd son. These two brothers are definitely a dynamic duo whom love each other very much. Their mischief and laughter fill our home with so much joy.

We will not pretend to understand your circumstances, your choices, or even your difficulties with the decisions you are yet to make. What we can tell you is that we feel that adoption has blessed our lives with one of God's amazing miracles. For us, we have seen heaven touch earth twice-with the birth of each of our children. We believe that a birthmother's selfless act of placing their child for adoption is the closet thing we can witness on this earth to the sacrifice that God made by sending his son to this earth. Adoption gave us the family we had so long prayed for. Our hearts are full and ready to share as we look forward to growing our family again.

If we are allowed to be parents to your child/children, we can promise you this-we will love them with everything we have to give. We will cherish them, provide for them, and help them to grow up knowing the sacrifice that you made for them. We thank you for giving your child/children life. We thank you for giving them a chance. And we thank you for taking the time to consider us.

With love and admiration,

Leanne and Whit

About Us

We met in college and could be described as having an eclectic educational background. Whit has degrees in business and ministry. Leanne has degrees in dental hygiene and nursing. After dating for 4.5 years, we married in August of 2004.

Due to serving in ministry, we have moved several times. Each time has been a wonderful blessing for each stage in our lives. Each move has provided opportunities for new experiences and building new relationships.

We believe that we complement one another very well, each with our strengths and weaknesses. Whit is laid back and sees the big picture when it comes to ideas. Leanne is organized and focuses on the details. We believe in open communication and strive to reconcile any differences that we incur. We are equally committed to our marriage and to our family.

We have experienced the wonderful blessings in life as well as some of life's difficult challenges of infertility. As mentioned before, we have struggled with years of infertility, experienced 3 miscarriages, a failed Russian adoption, and a failed domestic adoption. These difficulties have strengthened our marriage by forcing us to find comfort and strength in one another. Are we perfect? Absolutely not! But we do believe our marriage is built on love, trust, honesty, and faith.

Our Home

We live in a wonderful community. Our town is small, but has a big town feel with a lot of options for shopping, eating, and entertainment. There is a biking/running trail, a nationally recognized sports complex, and a children's splash park. The school system has also received national recognition and has a strong link to the community. We are close to several larger cities that offer many entertaining activities such as museums, theaters, zoos, and many others.

Our house is welcoming and comfortable with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. We have an amazing play set outside and a covered pavilion with an outside fireplace. We have several young families for neighbors with lots of kids playing round. We cannot wait to fill our home with more laughter and precious feet!

Our Extended Family

Whit's mom and dad have been married for 40 years. Whit's younger brother is married with 3 young children. Leanne's mom and dad have been married for 38 years. Her brother is married with a little girl.

We are very close with our families, and try to visit with them as often as possible. Since we all live within driving distance, we make every effort to be together on major holidays, birthdays, and any other time we can schedule it. They have walked with us in our adoption journey and support us 100%. There is no separation of biological grandchildren and adopted grandchildren. They spoil them equally. They love and adore our boys and cannot wait to spoil more grandchildren.

We also have 2 precious dogs, Kosy and Piper. Kosy is a 14 year old Jack Russell and Piper is 7 year old Boxer.

Our Family Traditions

We were blessed to be presented in Washington, DC the Angels in Adoption award from the Congressional Coalition in Adoption Institute in 2013. We were nominated by U.S. Senator Roger Wicker.

We serve on an advisement board at our local adoption agency. This helps us to be proactive in adoption and help support those whom have helped to bless us.

We have had some interesting opportunities to meet various famous people such as: Tim Tebow, Hugh Jackman, Willie Robertson, Sean & Leigh Anne Tuohy, and Emeril.

What Led Us To Adoption

After 6 years of trying to have our own family, several miscarriages, a failed Russian adoption of two precious boys, and many tears spilled, we decided to look into domestic adoption. We have successfully adopted our two amazing sons and would be beyond blessed to add a baby girl to our family.
